VIAF, PdCl3, phosducin-like protein 3
This gene encodes a member of the phosducin-like protein family and is a putative modulator of heterotrimeric G proteins. The protein shares extensive amino acid sequence homology with phosducin. Members of the phosducin-like protein family have been shown to bind to the beta-gamma subunits of G proteins. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008] (from

In this report, we demonstrate that phosducin-like 3 (PDCL3), a recently identified chaperone protein involved in the regulation of VEGFR-2 expression, is required for angiogenesis in zebrafish and mouse.

In mammalian systems, however, several members of the PLP family, including human PDCL3, the orthologue of PLP2, have been shown to be inhibitory toward CCT-mediated folding of actin in vivo and in vitro.

Here we describe the cloning and characterization of viral IAP-associated factor (VIAF), a highly conserved, ubiquitously expressed phosphoprotein with limited homology to members of the phosducin family that associates with baculovirus Op-IAP.
Methylcobalamin (10 microgram/kg bw, intramuscularly, on the 3d and 5th days after tumor transplantation) or methylcobalamin chlorpalladat -- MeCbl.PdCl3 (250 mg/kg bw in 2% starch suspension per os on the 2d and 6th days) were given to C57BI mice bearing adenocarcinoma Ca--755.
