Overproduction of geraniol by enhanced precursor supply in Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
Wuxi, China. In J Biotechnol, 2013
The results obtained revealed that the IDI1-encoded isopentenyl diphosphate isomerase is a rate-limiting enzyme in the biosynthesis of geraniol in S. cerevisiae, and overexpression of MAF1, a negative regulator in tRNA biosynthesis, is another effective method to increase geraniol production in S. cerevisiae.
Identification and characterization of genes that control fat deposition in chickens.
Kigali, Rwanda. In J Anim Sci Biotechnol, 2012
Expression levels of genes for lipid metabolism (SULT1B1, ACSBG2, PNPLA3, LPL, AOAH) carbohydrate metabolism (MGAT4B, XYLB, GBE1, PGM1, HKDC1)cholesttrol biosynthesis (FDPS, LSS, HMGCR, NSDHL, DHCR24, IDI1, ME1) HSD17B7 and other reaction or processes (CYP1A4, CYP1A1, AKR1B1, CYP4V2, DDO) were higher in the fast-growing White Recessive Rock chickens than in the slow-growing Xinghua chickens.
Diversity of the biosynthesis of the isoprene units.
Tokyo, Japan. In Nat Prod Rep, 2003
This review covers the biosynthesis of the starter units of terpenoids, isopentenyl diphosphate (IPP) and dimethylallyl diphosphate (DMAPP) via the nonmevalonate pathway together with a new enzyme involved in the conversion of IPP and DMAPP, i.e type 2 IPP isomerase.
