Exportin, tRNA

Exportin-t, Exportin(tRNA), exportin-tRNA
This gene encodes a protein belonging to the RAN-GTPase exportin family that mediates export of tRNA from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. Translocation of tRNA to the cytoplasm occurs once exportin has bound both tRNA and GTP-bound RAN. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008] (from NCBI)

1,25-Dihydroxyvitamin D3 suppresses exportin expression in human promyelocytic leukemia HL-60 cells.
Isemura et al., Shizuoka, Japan. In Biomed Res, 2006
Results suggest that decreased expression of exportin-1 and exportin-t induced by 1alpha,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 can be correlated to inhibition of the proliferation of HL-60 cells.
Nuclear processing and export of microRNAs in Arabidopsis.
Poethig et al., Philadelphia, United States. In Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A, 2005
In contrast, a mutation in PAUSED (PSD), the Arabidopsis ortholog of the tRNA export receptor, Exportin-t, interfered with the processing of tRNA-Tyr but did not affect the accumulation or nuclear export of miRNAs.
PAUSED, a putative exportin-t, acts pleiotropically in Arabidopsis development but is dispensable for viability.

Exportin-t was first identified in humans as a protein that mediates the export of tRNAs from the nucleus to the cytoplasm.
Recognition of engineered tRNAs with an extended 3' end by Exportin-t (Xpo-t) and transport of tRNA-attached ribozymes to the cytoplasm in somatic cells.
Taira et al., Tokyo, Japan. In Biomacromolecules, 2000
Our recent analysis indicates that the cytoplasmic localization of tRNA-attached ribozymes (tRNA-Rz) is critical for its high-level intracellular activity, suggesting that mature mRNAs in the cytoplasm are more accessible to ribozymes than pre-mRNAs in the nucleus (Kato et al.
