Papers on EndoGlyx-1
N-glycoprotein profiling of lung adenocarcinoma pleural effusions by shotgun proteomics.
Moch et al., Zürich, Switzerland. In Cancer, 2008
The specificity for the N-glycomotif was 88% at P >or= .9. Penetration into the moderate to low protein concentration range (microg-ng/mL) occurred, and several proteins associated with tumor progression or metastasis were identified, including CA-125, CD44, CD166, lysosome-associated membrane glycoprotein 2 (LAMP-2), multimerin 2, and periostin.
Molecular characterization of the desmoplastic tumor stroma in medullary thyroid carcinoma.
Garin Chesa et al., Vienna, Austria. In Int J Oncol, 2007
In order to characterize the desmoplastic response in thyroid cancers, we evaluated the expression pattern of three molecular markers of activated fibroblasts/myofibroblasts, namely, fibroblast activation protein alpha (FAPalpha), tenascin-C (Tn-C), and alpha-smooth muscle actin (alpha-SMA), as well as the endothelial markers endoglyx-1, CD34 and CD31 in a series of 28 metastatic and non-metastatic medullary thyroid cancers.
Expression of stromal cell markers in distinct compartments of human skin cancers.
Garin-Chesa et al., Vienna, Austria. In J Cutan Pathol, 2006
In an effort to better characterize the desmoplastic response to human skin tumors, we evaluated the expression pattern of three stromal cell markers, fibroblast-activation protein (FAP), endoglyx-1, and endosialin, in a series of melanocytic and epithelial skin tumors.
Molecular cloning and characterization of EndoGlyx-1, an EMILIN-like multisubunit glycoprotein of vascular endothelium.
Lenter et al., Biberach an der Riß, Germany. In J Biol Chem, 2002
EndoGlyx-1, the antigen identified with the monoclonal antibody H572, is a pan-endothelial human cell surface glycoprotein complex composed of four different disulfide-bonded protein species with an apparent molecular mass of approximately 500 kDa.
Identification of a high molecular weight endothelial cell surface glycoprotein, endoGlyx-1, in normal and tumor blood vessels.
Rettig et al., New York City, United States. In Lab Invest, 1994
This antigen, designated endoGlyx-1, is expressed on the surface of cultured endothelium, with no changes in expression after cytokine-stimulation. Immunohistochemical assays detect endoGlyx-1 in endothelial cells of large, medium-sized, and small blood vessels, including capillaries, in all human organs tested; only hepatic and splenic sinusoids lack the molecule.
