The observation that mutations in the phospholipase C gamma 1 (PLCG1) gene (among which p.S345F was shown to be activating) are frequent (20%) in tumoral cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL) samples raised the possibility of targeting therapies against the PLCG1 signaling pathway.
