Septin 10

SEPT10, Septin-10
This gene encodes a member of the septin family of cytoskeletal proteins with GTPase activity. This protein localizes to the cytoplasm and nucleus and displays GTP-binding and GTPase activity. Alternate splicing results in two transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008] (from NCBI)
Top mentioned proteins: Lipoprotein Lipase, Actin, SEPT9, ZAP-70, cdc10

New
Neri et al., Cosenza, Italy. In Leuk Res, Aug 2015
Two (SNORA70F, NRIP1) of the down-regulated and 6 (SEPT10, ZNF667, TGFBR3, MBOAT1, LPL, CRY1) of the up-regulated genes were significantly associated with a reduced risk of disease progression in both sets.
Possible role of a septin, SEPT1, in spreading in squamous cell carcinoma DJM-1 cells.
Nagata et al., Gifu, Japan. In Biol Chem, 2013
In immunoprecipitation assays, SEPT1 and SEPT5 were found to form a complex in DJM-1 cells, whereas SEPT9, SEPT11 and SEPT14 formed a distinct complex with other septins including SEPT7, SEPT8 and SEPT10, in which SEPT5 was not included.
