Co-evolution with chicken class I genes.
Cambridge, United Kingdom. In Immunol Rev, Sep 2015
In contrast to typical mammals that have many class I and class I-like genes, only two classical class I genes, two CD1 genes and some non-classical Rfp-Y genes are known in chicken, and all are found on the microchromosome that bears the MHC.
Role of the tripartite motif protein 27 in cancer development.
London, United Kingdom. In J Natl Cancer Inst, 2012
Trim27(-/-) mice (n = 14) were resistant to chemically induced skin cancer development (eight [57.2%] of 14 mice were tumor free) compared with Trim27(+/+) wild-type littermates (n = 13) (one [7.7%] of 13 mice was tumor free).
