PDZ domain protein
Striatal involvement in human alcoholism and alcohol consumption, and withdrawal in animal models.
Portland, United States. In Alcohol Clin Exp Res, 2011
Analyses of neuronal activation associated with alcohol withdrawal and site-directed lesions in mice implicate the rostroventral caudate putamen, a ventrolateral segment of the DMS, in genetically determined differences in risk for alcohol withdrawal involved in physical association of the multi-PDZ domain protein, MPDZ, with 5-HT(2C) receptors and/or NR2B.
Proteins modulating TRP channel function.
Berlin, Germany. In Cell Calcium, 2003
TRP channels have been demonstrated to interact with PDZ domain proteins, and both scaffold and regulatory function have been shown for INAD, the PDZ domain protein of the Drosophila phototransduction complex.
