Latent TGF-β-binding proteins.
New York City, United States. In Matrix Biol, Sep 2015
There are four LTBPs isoforms in the human genome (LTBP-1, -2, -3, and -4), all of which appear to associate with fibrillin and the biology of each isoform is reviewed here.
Sequestration of latent TGF-β binding protein 1 into CADASIL-related Notch3-ECD deposits.
In Acta Neuropathol Commun, 2013
Based on recent evidence indicating a role for the transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β) pathway in sporadic and familial small vessel disease we studied fibronectin, fibrillin-1 and latent TGF-β binding protein 1 (LTBP-1), three ECM constituents involved in the regulation of TGF-β bioavailability, in post-mortem brain tissue from CADASIL patients and control subjects.
[Pseudoexfoliation syndrome--etiopatogenesis and clinical course].
Warsaw, Poland. In Klin Oczna, 2005
The prevailing presence of elastic fiber epitopes, mainly elastic microfibrillar components (elastin, vitronectin, amyloid P, fibrillin-1, LTBP-1), has led to the current theory explaining PEX as a type of elastosis, affecting especially elastic microfibrils.
