Tumor protein D52-like 3

hD55, TPD52L3
This gene encodes a member of the tumor protein D52-like family of proteins. These proteins are characterized by an N-terminal coiled-coil motif that is used to form homo- and heteromeric complexes with other tumor protein D52-like proteins. The encoded protein may play a role in spermatogenesis. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2009] (from NCBI)

Papers on hD55
A testis-specific and testis developmentally regulated tumor protein D52 (TPD52)-like protein TPD52L3/hD55 interacts with TPD52 family proteins.
Li et al., Nanjing, China. In Biochem Biophys Res Commun, 2006
Herein, we identified a novel TPD52-like sequence (TPD52L3, or hD55) in human testis using cDNA microarray.
