DDB1 and CUL4 associated factor 8

This gene encodes a WD repeat-containing protein that interacts with the Cul4-Ddb1 E3 ligase macromolecular complex. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2009] (from NCBI)

Papers on H326
Characterization of nuclear import and export signals determining the subcellular localization of WD repeat-containing protein 42A (WDR42A).
Zheng et al., Wuhan, China. In Febs Lett, 2012
WDR42A is a nucleocytoplasmic shuttling protein.
Host cell targets of tegument protein VP22 of herpes simplex virus 1.
Zheng et al., Wuhan, China. In Arch Virol, 2011
while RNF10 and WDR42A or VP22 alone showed distinct subcellular localization patterns, RNF10 and WDR42A were relocated when co-expressed with VP22 or its homologues; these potential host cell factors of VP22 might expand the list of host targets of VP22
Autoantibodies against CYP2D6 and other drug-metabolizing enzymes in autoimmune hepatitis type 2.
Osaka et al., Nagoya, Japan. In Drug Metab Rev, 2004
The third epitope is located on the surface of the protein CYP2D6 and displays a hydrophobic patch that is situated between an aromatic residue (W316) and histidine (H326).
Structure and expression of Strabismus 1 gene on human chromosome 1q21-q23.
Katoh, Tokyo, Japan. In Int J Oncol, 2002
Here, STB1 gene and CASQ1 gene were found to be located on human chromosome 1q21-q23 with an interval of about 210 kb including Nicastrin, COPA, PXF, H326 and PEA15 genes.
Complementation of a speA negative Streptococcus pyogenes with speA: effects on virulence and production of streptococcal pyrogenic exotoxin A.
Sriskandan et al., London, United Kingdom. In Microb Pathog, 2001
The SPEA-negative S. pyogenes (H326) was complemented with speA extra-chromosomally to create strain H361 which produced 2.2-fold more SPEA compared with the parental speA(+)wild-type (H305).
