Gasdermin D

DFNA5L, GSDMDC1, GSDMD
Gasdermin D is a member of the gasdermin family. Members of this family appear to play a role in regulation of epithelial proliferation. Gasdermin D has been suggested to act as a tumor suppressor. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2009] (from NCBI)
Top mentioned proteins: GSDML, PrP, DFNA5, Phenylethanolamine N-Methyltransferase, EF-1delta
Papers on DFNA5L
Gasdermin D is an executor of pyroptosis and required for interleukin-1β secretion.

Whitfield et al., United States. In Mol Biol Cell, 2012
Analysis of genes regulated by FOXJ3 and FOXK1 showed that FOXJ3 may regulate a network of zinc finger proteins and that FOXK1 binds to the promoter and regulates DHFR, TYMS, GSDMD, and the E2F binding partner TFDP1.
