SUMMARY OF BACKGROUND DATA: Our previous studies have shown that reduction of the occipito-C2 angle (O-C2A) makes the mandible shift posteriorly, resulting in oropharyngeal airway stenosis, which occasionally causes postoperative dysphagia after occipitocervical fusion.
