Applying "Lasso" Regression to Predict Future Visual Field Progression in Glaucoma Patients.
In Invest Ophthalmol Vis Sci, Apr 2015
For each patient, the mean of all total deviation values (mTD) in the 10th VF was predicted using varying numbers of prior VFs (ranging from the first three VFs to all previous VFs) by applying ordinary least squares linear regression (OLSLR), M-estimator robust regression (M-robust), MM-estimator robust regression (MM-robust), skipped regression (Skipped), deepest regression (Deepest), and Lasso regression.
Comparative analysis of testis transcriptomes from triploid and fertile diploid cyprinid fish.
Changsha, China. In Biol Reprod, Apr 2015
A series of genes (DNAHs, DNAL1, IFTs, and DNAAF1) associated with sperm flagellar assembly and motility, and testis-specific candidate markers (Tcte1, Tekt1, Tekt4, Spag17, Spag5, Spag9a, Spag1b, and Spef2), had low expression levels in the testis of triploid fish.
Protein deep sequencing applied to biobank samples from patients with pancreatic cancer.
Lund, Sweden. In J Cancer Res Clin Oncol, Feb 2015
Pancreatic disease link associations could be made for BAZ2A, CDK13, DAPK1, DST, EXOSC3, INHBE, KAT2B, KIF20B, SMC1B, and SPAG5, by pathway network linkages to p53, the most frequently altered tumor suppressor in pancreatic cancer.
